When an instrument is first installed, this procedure should be run to stabilize the system before you start running any experiments. During this test an empty cell is heated and cooled multiple times.
Follow these basic instructions to condition the DSC baseline. Click the links to jump to the specific instructions for that item.
Turn off the cooling accessory, if it is on.
Remove any samples from the cell and cover the cell.
Verify that the correct cooler is specified on the Tools/Instrument Preferences/Cooler page.
Perform the conditioning procedure. You can do this one of two ways:
Automatically using the Platinum functions. (This function is available for Q2000 and Q200 instruments only and is recommended for first time calibration.)
Manually using the custom methods.
